About Us

The League of Women Voters of Atlanta-Fulton County is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization started in 1920 to provide information and education to voters in Fulton County, including Atlanta and the other municipalities in the county. We have proudly served the citizens of the area for the past 102 years.

Mission

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy. We never support or oppose any political party or candidate.

History

The League of Women Voters was founded by leaders of the women’s suffrage movement. For over 100 years, we have been a nonpartisan, activist, grassroots organization that believes voters should play a critical role in democracy. See our local history.
