A special Democratic primary election for Georgia State Senate District 39 has been called for November 3, 2020. A primary runoff election is scheduled for December 1, 2020, if needed.

The November 3 special Democratic primary for District 39 was called after incumbent candidate Nikema Williams (D) withdrew from the race after advancing from the regular Democratic primary held on June 9, 2020. 

The candidates running for District 39 GA Senate seat include:

Zan Fort (Democrat), Sonya Halpern (Democrat), Joanna Potts (Democrat), and Linda Pritchett (Democrat)
