The League of Women Voters of Atlanta-Fulton County in partnership with the YWCA of Greater Atlanta proudly present a conversation with Kelly Burton, PhD, about her new book The Price of Union: Race, Power, and the Making of American Democracy.
Ms. Burton is a political scientist, emtrepreneur, and civic leader whose work explores the relationship between race, power, and democracy in American life.
In The Price of Union, Kelly Burton argues that racial caste has long served as the social infrastructure of American democracy, organizing power, shaping belongings and determining who benefited from the American experiment and who bore its costs.
