2023/09/30 Membership Kickoff

The 2023 membership kickoff event was held at the Joan P. Garner memorial library. Many of the board members, including President Charis Johnson, Membership Chair Cathy Carpenter, Programs Chair Tori Hill, and Treasurer Kayron Bearden attended. The featured speakers were Patrice Perkins-Hooker, Chair of the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections, and LaShandra Little, Voter Education and Outreach Manager for Fulton County Department of Registrations and Elections. The conversation was filled with participation from LWVAF members, who were able to get their questions about the election process and upcoming cycle answered. We were also lucky to have Rep. Shiela Jones (of the Georgia General Assembly, representing the 60th District) in attendance.
