National Call for Democracy Poetry Submissions
LWVUS is putting together a poetry anthology. We invite poems that reflect on the guiding principles of democracy—such as justice, equality, freedom, civic engagement, and the common good.
As poets, writers, and members of the League of Women Voters, we recognize the power of language to connect people—to stir hearts and minds, and to reaffirm the enduring promise of Democracy. Through poetry, we aim to illuminate its beauty, its fragility, and its strength—especially at a time when we can no longer afford to take its core principles for granted.
Deadline for submission is October 15, 2025.
